The Rowland Family | Savannah GA Family Photographer

Shortly after starting my blog, I held the 'Feeling Lucky?' session giveaway. Facebook doesn't allow for contests like this, and I was excited to finally be able to host one! I was also hoping to gain a few followers here on the blog. I had no idea if it would be successful or not, but each entry excited me. Kim was the winner of that giveaway, and she is also a friend from church. She was one of my first followers, and her support means the world.

Side note: Kim has a booth at Two Women and a Warehouse, and she has some pretty amazing things! You can check some of it out on her blog ( or her Facebook page (

On to the photos from our session!

I promised Kim's daughter that I would get one with their puppies! We almost forgot, but glad we didn't!

21:52 | Water

This week's challenge was water, and the rule was that the image had to be black and white.

Um, I LOVED this week's theme...and it's rule. Are you tired of me saying that yet? :)

It's true though. I took one picture, then another, and another. It was REALLY hard for me to choose what to submit, but I did.

Just like other weeks, you are about to see my submission along with a few more images that I loved. Not all of them are black and white, but all of them are of water.

My Entry...
I love this image. I love the shades of grey. I love the reflection in the water droplet. I love the ruffled edges and the thorns.

Nature is beautiful, and I love finding beauty in the small things.

Here it is in color...
And more...

Andrew | Savannah GA Children and Family Photographer

I met Andrew's dad in high school. He was a good friend and a great guy. Seeing him after all of this time was like picking up where we left off. His wife is beautiful and sweet, and I feel blessed they invited me into their home to capture these memories for them. Chris and Jessica are amazing parents, and their love for each other and their little boy is obvious.

20:52 | Free

Week 20's theme was free, and challenge participants were encouraged to include themselves in the image. Well, with my husband out of town, it was a little hard to do something super creative. The picture for this week isn't great, but I'm in it. :)

Let's set the scene:
It was a beautiful sunny Sunday evening and after days of rain and with an hour to kill before bed time, we needed something to do. My husband wasn't home, and we wanted to spend our hour of free time before getting ready for bed doing something fun. So, we went to the lake to feed the ducks, run around, laugh, play, and just enjoy being outside.

This was my submission:
This is what we do in our "free" time.

And just a few more...
