Merry Christmas!

All sessions are over, all galleries have been posted, all orders have been placed, and for Lauren Durrence Photography the end of 2012 is here.

This year has flown by, and I can't thank my amazing clients enough for making it so great.

To my clients new and old, thank you for your referrals, and thank you for giving me the honor of stepping into your lives and trusting me to capture your memories.

The Facebook page may get quieter, but I have lots of blogging to catch up on. So, be on the look out for that. :)

And here's more of my family. :)

42:52 | Food

It's the holiday season, and that means lots of good eattin'. The challenge this week was to become a food photographer and submit a food shot along with the recipe.

Well, the cooler weather brings out my love for soups, chowders, and chili. Not being a cook m
yself, I photographed one of my favorites cooked by my dad.

Crab and Corn Chowder (served with little french bread garlic toasts). It may not look amazing here, but I promise you it's delicious.

41:52 | Soft

Fall weather is here, and it's time for soft sweaters, blankets, scarves, mittens...This week's challenge was to find something soft and photograph it.

My daughter's super soft and warm sock monkey set is what I chose for my submission. :)

You know I can't stop at just one, and we had a fun time shooting, here's more!

40:52 | Bright

This week's challenge was to photograph the bright colors of fall. Well, that's not so easy to do when it still feels like summer outside. But, with the help of a few random trees, I had it. A beautiful pile of bright fall leaves. :)

My submission...
 Here's more :)

Walker Family | Savannah GA Children and Family Portrait Photographer

I'm not really sure where to start when it comes to telling you about this family, so I'll just say that they are as beautiful on the inside as they are gorgeous. April is pretty dang wonderful, and I am so thankful I get to call her my friend. She is an amazing mom, and I truly admire her strength. Her hero husband deployed weeks after their son was born, and that made this session so much more special. It was a blessing to share in this time with them. I have to say I loved this session, but not nearly as much as I will love the one next year when this hero's deployment ends and he comes home. That said, please keep Brian and his precious family in your prayers.
